Kreativ Workshop: Ecosomatic Creation

Listening play - Ecosomatic-creation artist talk followed by workshop What do my eyes see? What am I attracted to? Why is beside the point; just touch them, smell them, ask them where they would like to go. The ecosomatic creation workshop blends somatic movement with artistic creation to awaken the senses and help us arrive at an embodied presence in the space together. From there, we open the gates to the ‘making of things’ out of recycled and organic materials. Through interacting with the most ancient mediums for play and art—seeds, sticks, and other naturally occurring materials—a sensual listening to the more-than-human world unfolds, experiencing ourselves as the creative force within it. Guided by our curiosity and courage, we will allow for the discovery of different materials and form them into works of artistic expression of our individual experience of the interconnected whole.
